Good afternoon all, administrators please relocate this post if this is not the proper location it should be in.

My name is Jesse Jones, I work at one of the largest Ford dealerships in Northern Virginia in the service center. I would like to reach out and offer a possible life-line to anybody experiencing issues and or catastrophic transmission failure including but not limited to the 10 speed 10R80 transmission. As I recently transferred from another Ford dealer I am well aware that one of the biggest complaints from owners is the extensive wait list involving most dealers transmission shops. In many cases including the dealership I previously worked at, we were booking out months in advance for a simple diagnosis not including repair. I am sure some of you have experienced this and I am well aware that it has or will leave sour taste in your mouth as a consumer. I am excited to announce that is not the case in this service center. Typical turn around time is 1-2 weeks, in some cases depending on shop-load of course we have been able to diagnose, rebuild, and or remove and replace the units in 3-4 business days. I would be happy to answer any questions regarding what Ford has done so far to rectify these issues, including the updated parts designs. I have a fully staffed transmission shop full of experienced technicians eager to get these vehicles repaired in a timely fashion. Another concern a lot of people have had is what can be done if the vehicle is outside of the factory 5 year 60K warranty, I would be happy to talk about proceedings under that scenario as well. You can reach our main line at 571-506-0888 or myself directly at [email protected]

I’m willing to drive from Chicago and take a small vaca to your state if you’re able fix fix my intermittent clunks I get under my feet which I strongly think it’s coming from my transmission. I’ve been to 4 ford local dealers here in Chicago and in the beginning up 20,000 miles on the odometer all dealers were telling me the car is learning your driving habits so give it time and it will stop clunking. After the first 20,000 miles up to 36,000 miles the dealers were resetting the transmission for a total of 4 times. Still the same shit! During this time they replaced the long block on the engine because it was burning too much oil. Instead of replacing the whole engine they did a half ass job. Up until recently the car was brining some sort of exhaust engine fumes in the car very frequently. The last dealer I went to found a disconnect vent hose and they reconnected it correctly. Now it seems the fumes are mostly gone. But still the trans clunks and kick very randomly which is very annoying!

Yowsa - GM just announced 15yr coverage on the 10L80 valve body, wonder when Ford is gonna pony up and help us out with Ecoboost and 10R80 issues. I have a brand new tranny and now I'm getting some weird lurches/hesitation when slowly coming up to a stop sign for example. I swear if i get more issues, i'm done...

I am looking to see if there is information on quality rebuild shops that are using the "updated" parts. From reading the posts it appears most people have been putting in the same crappy transmission that is now failing again. Suggestions and costs please? I did find a shop in Arizona that looks reasonable but the costs are higher than I expected (6,800) plus I have to ship a transmission both ways and then pay someone to install it. Any recommendations are appreciated.
