Transmission Issues

Good morning all,

We have a 2018 Ford Expedition XLT with approximately 133,000 miles on it. Luckily we haven't run into the transmission issues yet but it does scare me, no warranty left on the vehicle. We are currently looking at an 23 model Limited Max. Were the transmission issues fixed on these year models or so we need to look in the 24s? Thanks a bunch!

The latest major update of 10R80 was back to August 2024, which was the new cylinder shell.

If I was going to get a 23 do I need to get a warranty with it? Or just put money aside each month?

Id do both, The warranty will cover most and also put money aside for the dumb things warranty wont cover like heater hoses etc.
