2004 Eddie Bauer 4.6L, transmission been slipping. Replaced trans. fluid and it works fine for at least a thousand miles then yesterday I noticed like a grinding noise on 3rd gear, drove for another hundred miles. This morning, It won't move anymore no matter what gear ( reverse or forward ) I put it on. Put in neutral and tried to push the vehicle but it seems something caught in the gear that it won't budge. Does anyone experienced the same problem too? Does it need a rebuild trans. or it can be fixed somehow? Thank you friends in advance for any input. I'll highly appreciate it.

Who replaced the Trans, a shop or you? If a shop they should warranty it. If not, it sounds as if you may be replacing it again. The only way to tell how much work it would be to rebuild it is to drop it and take a look. Sorry to say, but it's never a good thing when you hear grinding from the trans. Good luck.
