I am new to this so if I didn't put this post in the correct spot please forgive me. My troubles started when my husband hooked up a car stereo to my car. Everything was fine till we went to town. The windshield wipers quiet along with the radio. However when I turned the lights on they all worked. We brought it home he checked fuses and checked for crosswires. He found nothing to be out of place. I went up the road a little piece and the vehicle sounded as if te engine was dying and it had no power to pull. I gassed it and it finally pulled but not like it should it was as if it was in first gear. When I came home and told my husband. He thought that maybe the radio grounded out something so he put old one back in. Still did not help. He opened the hood and transmission fluid was everywhere. So we figured the transmission was fully gone so we bought one from a wreckage yard. Now the transmission is in and it still acts as if it's choking out. It is throwing off codes p0755 p0743 and p1417. My question is could this possibly be the PCM causing these codes to go off and him hooking up the radio would that have shorted it out to where the PCM would have built up too much pressure and destroyed the transmission? I am desperate need of advice and ford dealership charges 95 an hour. It has to be something simple to end up coating an arm and a leg. So if you all ever had these problems please let me know. Thanks. Oh and it's a 5.4
