i was just wondering if a 6speed tranny from a 2007 expy would fit and work in a 97 5.4 2 valve. My uncle has a 2007 explorer sport trac with the 4.6 and the six speed and i really like the performance when towing and fuel economy. perferably the one for the 5.4 or won't it work.

Have you done any research on the type of engine the sport trac has? I think now days they use a DOHC 4 Valve that I could result in a new tranny as well

its not for a the sport trac but an expedition i only was saying that my uncle has one and i like it. The sport trac has a SOHC 3 valve 4.6.
