One of the most useful Trip recorders I have on other vehicles was the "Trip since Start". I probably used this more than any other Trip functionality other than recording my fuel economy per each fill up.

Does Ford not have this? I can't seem to find it if it does.

To better describe -- what happens is that there is a trip computer just like our Trip 1, Trip 2, etc. that I don't have to reset manually. It just starts when I start the vehicle. It continues the same trip allowing for stops of a certain duration (a few hours like would happen if you stopped for lunch). After a longer duration, it just starts a new Trip since Start.

This functionality really helps me get a handle on how long a particular commute took, how far it was, etc. Additionally, it obviously shows me fuel economy and such if I happened to start towing that trip or head off road.

Yes, I get that I can reset one of the Trips every time I get in the vehicle but the best thing about Trip since Start is that I don't have to remember until I want the information.

What says the braintrust?

Ford does not have that, exactly....

If you are using the Sync Nav (so, the Ford navigation that comes with the vehicle) and program a route, at the end of your trip it will give you a drive summary with the miles you went and the amount of time it took. It won't show you the mpg for the trip tho.

So that's maybe a stand-in for what you are trying to accomplish, but otherwise, no, it is not something that is available.

Your phone tracks your every move, so if you needed milage or anything you could look at the babysitter on it thats recording our every move. Just a thought.
Vehicle has nothing like that.....

Just discovered Ford has a beta app within the Ford Pass app that does this. It’s in account and named My Journeys. You have to enable the feature for it to work. Looks like a lot more detail than your fathers Trip Since Start counter on the dash lol.

Nice find. Thank you. I set it up and we'll see what it looks like. Still not as easy as just looking at a trip counter though.

I tried it today and it picked up the four segments of my trip. It's phone GPS based. It tells you TOA, Duration, Distance, and Avg Speed. No MPG stats. It also tells you about your braking, cornering, and acceleration. Not sure I'll keep it activated because it's always tracking and using the phones GPS even while not driving or driving in another vehicle. All that info gets sent to Big Bro Ford. It would be better if it was pulling information from the vehicle and not the phone.

Yes, this represents my thoughts as well. If it had the mpg from vehicle, I would be very happy and I bet I would glean some useful information from the types of trips I make. Seems like it would be easy to sync up. Hello Ford.
