curious as to how durable the rustoleum spray undercoating is. lookin at home depot and a can of bedliner spray is $8 and a can of undercoating is $4. i want to use it to paint the roof rack im making and have never used it.

think its durable enough not to peel?

also thinking of spraying the area underneath where the muffler is to cut down on some noise. the droning is not as near as bad as the flow 40 that was on there but it still drones a little.

think it will help?

Don't even think of using the undercoating. The bedliner works fantastic, assuming that you prep the surface correctly. I've used it on the front bumper of my truck as well as on the fender flares. Tough as nails.

Use undercoating for its intended purpose, under the car for sound proofing and protection. Once again, prep is the key to keep it from flaking off.

undercoating never cures and gets hard so for a roof rack or anything exposed that you will touch and what not use the bed liner and prep it well
