Pulled my family of 6 in my 2016 Expy plus a 32' travel trailer from PA through CO, up to Yellowstone then Mt Rushmore with no problems. Then on the way back, in MN it started to stumble. Pulled up codes and showed P0627 pending for fuel pump. Stumbled some more and high pressure fuel was dropping to 0 when stumbling. Finally it completely shutoff and wouldn't start. 0 hp fuel. Had to have it towed to a dealer Tuesday night. Dealer is bending over backwards to work on it. Diagnosed as failed low pressure fuel pump. Ended up stuck in a hotel for the past two days. HOPEFULLY it will be ready Friday morning.
Could this have been bad fuel? I've been pretty picky about using 91 from top tier stations, but had to take on some 87 from a sketchy Sinclair an hour before the problem started. They only had 87, diesel, and some super high ratio ethanol blends.
