Quick pic after the polish and detail, I towed a car trailer with my toy car on it yesterday, 200 km round trip. It was my first time hauling with the expedition and I loved it! It pulled like a dream and the volant intake was doing its job pulling cold air in I was very pleased with the performance, it was really hot yesterday+33 degrees Celsius and I had the ac cranked the whole time, and the expedition didn't complain aT all. The 5.4 liter engine together with the factory towing package and transmission cooler is a very reliable system.

The trailer rental was 60$, fuel cost was 60$ also and took about 4 1/2 hours of my Saturday morning but I saved over 200$ even with the trailer rental and fuel. I was able to pick up a bumper and lip for my car on the local classifieds for 125$ that was freshly painted the exact color of my car, which was a total fluke and I still had 75$ in my pocket saved. All in all it was a very good day, thanks to my expedition.

I love my ford:)

Finally replaced the bolts on my exhaust because it was rattling. The bolts were shanked out which I found they are made to do. I could have shimmed them with washers but new bolts work too.

Got a bumper today -

Unfortunately, requires welding. Will have to find a shop to do the install.

Does anyone know how big of a job it is to do the rear axle seals on my 01 expedition? If it's an easy job I can just do it myself but if it's a big job I may bite the bullet and pay a shop, which I hate doing but I don't have the time to fix it right now...

Put 4 new LED's in the front. The old ones did not survive the extreme cold of last winter so I picked up some metal shelled ones hoping they work a bit better.

Changed the rear axle seals and pinion seal, the rear pads and the 2 u joints on the first drive shaft, the 2nd ujoint was starting to make an annoying clinking sound at low speed which drove me nuts, and the inside of my rear wheels/rotors/pads were caked with diff fluid and dirt, which was also driving me nuts. Truck is happy and so am I.

Next week I'm doing the front pads, shocks all 4 corners and putting in a fresh battery. All that's left on my to do list is flush my rad, change my trans fluid &filter, front diff and transfer case and she should be good for awhile.hemezuqa.jpg

Changed the shocks out, nothing fancy just Monroe matic plus large bore. Changed the front pads , the shocks lasted 339,000 kms and definitely needed to be changed.
