I repaired my sisters 97' expie's window regulator and fixed my 2002 expie's inner door handle ( not the handle to open but the one used to pull the door closed from the inside ) as it was loose and annoying..

Fixed the aux inputs on the dvd player since my son broke off one of the rca's off inside it.

Put some avs in-channel vent visors on, looks good but I forgot put the tab on the drivers side under the mirror instead of in the window channel and cracked it the first time I rolled it up, I guess that's what I get for rushing. Looks like I'll be ordering a replacement Monday.

Threw some vinyls on the back window that I bought a couple months ago but was way too cold to put on then.uploadfromtaptalk1430620795069.jpg

Finally got around to breaking out the Expy again a few days ago after a month of sitting in the garage. Installed the new and updated FPDM so I won't have to worry about that issue down the road. My old one was in surprisingly good shape so I have it in a spare parts box just in case.

Well Andrew I hate to be the bearer of bad news but those Pilot 194 bulbs are junk. I,like you changed out all my interior, marker, license and high mount stop(5 bulbs by the way) with these only to have about half of them start to fail and flicker after a few weeks time. One element always starts to flicker on and off. Must build up too much heat in too small an area. I definitely wouldn't put them outside where you can't keep an eye on them and draw attention from the locals. I've changed out most to the Sylvania 194 single element bulbs but they are way pricier but I guess you get what you pay for.

I've had good luck with superbrightleds.com

Did this a few days ago. All in all more then worth it. The airaid kit gave very nice throttle response and the butt dyno approves! Cant wait for the rest of the go fast parts to come in.

Yeah that's the way I'm getting, I think it's time for the k&n to go.

I understand, but dont get me wrong I still love K and N but having to oil the filter and do it just right got to be a pain in the butt. Honestly if you have a FIPK setup Id just grab a good dryflow filter and put it on since the K and N kits is still solid. But yeah once you go dry youll be much happier when maintenance time comes. :Rock on:

If anyone else here lives in the great state of Colorado, you know we have been getting non stop rain for probably the last 1-2 weeks. Well a week ago or so my passenger window on the expy stopped working from the drivers side, so me being the genius I am, decides to go try out the passenger side. Sure enough yep it does roll down, however it will not roll back up. So I go drive back to my house a half hour away with the window down, freezing rain coming in and the heater going full blast that seems to be doing almost nothing. It was a fun trip, luckily the expy was not all that wet on the inside to my pleasant surprise.

I read about our window switches commonly failing to work because they are all carboned up, so I figured I would give that a go. Sure enough, the passenger switch was heavily scored, so I set about cleaning off all the contacts till they were smooth and shiny. Got it all done and back together- surely my problems were over now! Nope lol the window went the rest of the way down, but not back up. So I swapped the front and rear passenger switches to see if it was a switch issue- the front worked the back window up and down just fine, and the switch from the back seat still was not able to make the window go back up. So needless to say I have been driving my F150 again the last couple days, hoping I can get this issue fixed on Monday. It's a real minor issue, just came at a very inconvenient time. Oh well, besides this and the infamous warped brake rotors, this truck has been virtually problem free and I still love it.

Did a bunch to the Expy this past week.

But the Big Girl to work hauling our college student back from Massachusetts they gave her some TLC over the weekend with hand wash and wax.

At 8 years old and 160k, she still shines like new (for the most part!)

I use Zaino or Meguiar's (professional) and a nice porter cable grinder/buffer. I highly recommend a nice buffer, my black QX looked ok when we picked it up, after a few hours with the buffer it really popped. I've got a dark blue expedition and it makes the paint look significantly deeper than hand polishing with much less effort.

Cringed at the sound my brakes make- even just driving they grind. Ordered new Hawk LTS pads. I'll probably put some new rotors on too. Any rotors that anyone recommends or recommends to stay away from?

Last week wash and waxed her. This week new tires. I went with LT Load range E instead of the P rated. It should be nicer towing the TT.

Man your truck looks good! What did you use to get your trim panels darker? I've tried some of the back to black stuff and it works but only for about a month or two then it slowly fades back to the same light gray it usually is. My truck is so dirty- i feel bad for not washing it so far this month but it has rained nearly non stop the past week so it would just get messed up again. Ah Colorado how lovely you are.

Ha. I've been asked that a few times and they are literally repainted with what must have been some sort of quick Krylon job. The previous owner had bough it brand new and he was a fire chief it was his fire chief vehicle lol but I believe he had the dealer up in MA do a repaint on them with a dark grey paint because you can tell up close how they are painted. Eventually I'll paint the side panels gloss black and hopefully have steel front and back bumpers that are satin black but not soon.
