Oil and Filter change
Fuel filter change
Trans fluid and Trans filter and gasket
Steam clean the inside roof liner
Oil change and filter:I used Mobil 1 5w20 Synthetic and the M1 filter.the old Fram filter that was on it looked very old and had rust around it so I'm not sure how long it had been on there and how long it would last.I'm getting the idea that the dealer didn't change anything when they sold it to us
Fuel Filter: I went with the OEM Ford part.I didn't need any special tool as others had stated.those blue clips will release the filter if you simply push them together with your fingers.I was surprised to see the dirty black fluid that came out of the gas tank side of the filter.
Trans Fluid and Filter and Gasket: Went with with the OEM Mercon stuff from ford and I got a Trans filter from O'Rilies .getting the pan off wasn't so hard but it was messy.remember that the expedition has no drain plug so you have to get the pan all the way off to get the fluid out. Also there is a magnet inside the pan that collects any metal parts. The filter kit comes with a filter and new gasket so you dont have to reuse that old one when you put the pan back on .I was unhappy to see how black the fluid was at the bottom of the pan and how the magnet had so much grime and metal on it i don't think it was changed at 60k.Well now at 90k I'm gonna make sure this vehicle if properly cared for and if anything does go bad it wont be out of owner neglect.
Steam Inside Roof Liner: I used my Little Green Clean machine.I did initially sprayed some seat cleaner and was good for odors.I let it sit for about 30 minutes and then used strait boiling hot water in the steamer and you wouldn't believe the crap that was in the water each time the waste water tank filled up!the roof has a brighter clean look to it now and inside the car smells great not that it stank before it just smells fresh inside now.remember this vehicle is a 2004 so over time it would have collected some dirt
