Was off-roading into a campsite, got distracted by my dog and hit a boulder.

Inspected damage and saw this cable was either snapped or disconnected. Idk I’m not inspecting again until the morning.

Managed to limp a few hundred yards to an area to pullover for the night just fine. Idling ok too.

You failed to list the year, make, model and driveline type (4WD - 2WD).

But, it looks as though you broke or disconnected a vacuum line for the 4WD system (for the front independent wheel engagement hubs).

Real sorry about that. It’s my 2010 ford expedition extended length limited. Yeah my friend just identified it as an IWE line. Relieved it’s such an easy inexpensive repair. And I can still drive on it no issues. Thanks for your reply!

Yep, that the vacuum line for the 4WD. On my '07, it runs from the passenger side to the driver side (as in direction of flow of vacuum). It's a pretty simple fix with a section of vacuum tubing. Mine was damaged by the previous owner and I repaired it. I think I used some 5/32" vacuum line and 2 small hose clamps.
