2001 Expedition 4x4, 5.4L V8

Not sure if my shocks are "Standard Duty" or "Auto Adjustable"?

This replacement is for the Rear shocks of my expedition... Apparently they are so rusted and old a piston is showing? (11 years)

Thanks,
Charles

I guess the real problem is, that I dont know if my shocks are air-ride or coil... is there something on the shocks that will be obvious when i look at them?

Do you have air bags in the rear sitting inbetween the axle housing and the frame?

do you sometimes hear a compressor come on when you have a heavy load in the truck? if so its air ride. Also if you look behind your back tire you might be able to see the hose or the coil. I have a 98 with all 4 being air ride.
