My 09 uses 275 55R20 tires. I believe the stock wheels are 8.5” wide. Does anyone know how wide I can safely go on stock wheels? 285? 305? Will I have a rub problem? Discount tire tells me that an increase in aspect ratio to 60 will rub so now I am concerned about width as well. Thanks in advance!

The safe bet is the same as my 2000 is using, 285/50 r20. I'm assuming your SUV is 4x4? That bump in size will keep tire dimensions the same. Overall height. Speedo reading, gearing, etc. It will also give a little wider footprint. I think that's what your after.
