Windshield wiper issue

I have a 2015 King Ranch Expedition that is experiencing unusual wiper issues.
When I pull into or out of my garage the wipers will automatically turn on for one wipe of the windshield, this also occasionally happens when Im driving down the road. Theres no rain, sprinklers, spray from other vehicles or moisture in the air or visible on the windshield. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have had this issue with our 2009 Mazda 6 since we purchased it. Pollen, dirt, and other miscellaneous that passes in front of the sensor seems to set it off. I just keep it on manual.
