Hello all.
I am the proud owner of an 03 EB 5.4l with 186K on it. We drive mostly around town and some freeway. Have taken it on several long distance trips and have had no problems. The only modifications or changes I have made since we got it were the following:
1. K&N air filter
2. Spray the MAF with MAF cleaner.
3. New tires after a month or so. Went with a Falken Rocky Mountain. I don't remember the tires that were on it before, but they were an SUV tire.
4. Changed a relay that controls the Back Up sensor system. The old one fried a prog on it and I was getting the dreaded PRND error.
5. We also had to replace front hubs on the truck.
6. When I did the last oil change I put in Lucas oil treatment.
7. When we had to replace the hubs the mechanic did tell me they had to reset alot of the computer settings. He said it looked like someone had worked on it before and did not set them right.
When we got it in the fall the mileage on the information center was averaging right around 14.5 now it is saying around 9.
Any ideas what could be eating up mileage? Could it just be the computer?
Thanks
