So I took it into the Ford dealer and they said the button is the issue. It works about every one in ten pushes. I've searched online for a place to purchase just the OD button but can't find it anywhere! Nor, are there any instructions on how to replace it. Dealer wants like $220 just to swap out the button.

Anyone know where I could purchase the button and if there is directions anywhere to replace it?

(2007 Ford Expedition EL XLT)

Thanks!

Mine is not working and when I turn the key on I do not see a light on the instrument cluster for it. Should the light come on when the key is turned on? The light would be in the instrument cluster right?

So I figured it out. Fuse #29 on the fuse panel was blown. I also discovered this circuit controls the function of the doors automatically locking when you put it in gear. I saw a video which showed how the wire bundle for that switch can be caught in the brace for the steering column and get pinched which causes lots of issues. I figure mine had a blown fuse for a reason so if the problem comes back it will be time to open it up and take a look at the internals near the steering column.

When I read your post of today I looked at your previous post in this thread.

so when I read the above I would have thought that you also had a 07 expedition as there was no indication in your original post.

But your post today you have a signature line which shows you have a 02 expy. Had you given that information in the beginning I may have been able to tell you to check fuse 29 which is in the circuit for your 2002 but that fuse isn't in the OD circuit for a 2007
