Semi off topic fun fact of the day. Your side view mirror's are actually first surface mirrors which are more expensive in general compared to"regular" mirror which is second surface(illegal to use in automotive mirrors). Touch the side view mirror with your finger and look at it from an angle...
Fuel filter is extremely easy to replace. Ask the auto part store if they rent a fuel filter removal tool. Makes the job a 5 minute job. Filter should be on the driver side frame rail right by the rear door.
Was under the Expy since I had a few days off replacing sway bar bushings and rear shocks. Noticed 2 wires going into the top of the rear diff. Anyone know why? On a side note my Expy rides tons better now with the rear Bilsteins and sway bar bushings being new. Oh and installed my spring...
i bought them through Ebay but called them up to pick color. Very good customer service by the way. I will snap a pic with m,y phone tom. in the daylight.
Use heat on the lower ball joints and you can tap them right out after you remove the snap ring. If you toss the new ball joints in the freezer the night before it will slide right in if your lower arm is still hot.
I also have the very underpowered 4.6 or so I thought... I have been driving with just cold air intake (K&N). Sat I decided before I drive across PA in the mountains I need more power. Bought a Dynomax catback(75 dollar rebate) and a Superchips Flashpak. WOW what a difference. Definitely worth...
You first need to verify that your compressor is staying on. If it is cycling on and off you are low on refridgerant. I just went through this on my 99 Quest.
Just my personal experience... When I bought my Expy I think the trans fluid had 147k on it. The trans barely made it home shuddered like crazy and didn't shift proper. I dropped the pan changed the filter and what came out of pan and now my trans shifts fine. No more shudder and goes right in...
Please pm me a $$ on the center console lid and drivers side visor clip. Also interested in the running boards if they survived the crash. I can pick up thanks Phil.
I have a 2000 and the tool was required. I used the long plastic rental tool and it sucked. If you buy the tool in your picture it will be much easier.
The winch lb rating is with only one wind on the drum. I believe it decreases with the more line on the drum. Also you are goin to need a wheel on the tongue of the trailer or it will just dig in to the ground and act like an anchor.
The Harbor Freight (Chicago Electric) winch is the exact same winch as Mile Marker. I had one on my Jeep(Mile Marker) and altough it was cheaply made it worked every time I needed it. I would save your $$$ and get the Chicago Electric. If your gonna drop some coin definately get a Warn.
That sounds exactly like mine drove the night I brought it home. I don't no if it was old fluid or the fact the tranny filter was just floating around the pan but it has drove great ever since the filter and fluid change. I was not able to drain the converter so it was actually only about 6 qts...
