Rocker panel rot? 2008
2008 Expedition EL, under the driver door. Like it's not bad enough that all the paint is falling off the hood and hatch now I am getting rot under the driver door. This real common, and is there anything that can be done? Truck doesn't see a lot of sand or salt or anything, it's pretty well...- misspelledone

Crap radio reception after car wash
Wife took the truck and got it washed, and now the radio reception is non existent. They did clean the windows inside and out. Is it possible that grid could have been damaged just cleaning the windows? Is there a connector near that window somewhere that could have gotten knocked off? It's dark...- misspelledone

Sunroof Drains 2008 Expedition EL
So does anyone know how to get to the rear tubes? Do you go up from underneath the truck? I sure as hell can see them when I am sticking my head out of the sunroof. The front ones are easy to see and clean, but I just don't know where the rear ones are located so I can snake them out.- misspelledone

From on top of the truck I can see the front tubes. Totally clean and water flows right through no problems. However I can not see the back ones at all. They gotta be way back in the assembly. How do you access these? I pulled the weatherstrips and pulled down on the headline a bit and...- misspelledone

Sunroof Drains 2008 Expedition EL
How many drains are there for the sunroof? I have found the two in the front corner, is there any in the rear corners? If so could someone post a picture? The truck is a 2008 Expedition EL with a DVD player full of water. Thanks! Chris- misspelledone

Regardless of mileage, this should still be fixed by Ford. This is not a result of improper care or wear and tear. It is the result of improper surface prep. So year and mileage should not matter.- misspelledone

I hope you are right. But as someone who works in the industry for 20+ years, they don't care as much about repeat customers as you think. Their mindset is that for every repeat customer they lose, they will just find new ones instead. It's easier to find a new one than keep an old one. I was...- misspelledone

If you put them out of business who will repaint your hatch? Even if they got smacked with a massive class action over this, it wouldn't even put a dent in their bottom line. They would not even bat an eye at something like this.- misspelledone

I hate t say it, but you are correct. That is the only way to get things like this handled these days. Even then they will only do what will cost the least amount of money. We have some paint peeling on our hatch as well, on a 2008. I am honestly amazed that Ford doesn't do something to address this. When you mention it to a local dealer they chuckle and say yeah they all do that. WTF Ford? I worked as a Dodge tech for almost 20 years ans we repainted cars all...- misspelledone
