Productive Day today
Right! I finished up the work on the Expedition, then went to fire up the grill. Bad idea. The temp dropped about 30 degrees in am matter of an hour, and the wind was nasty.- RHSC

50 Degrees in Chicago today! Time to get stuff done. Rear upper and lower trailing arms on both sides, Replaced PVC vacuum elbow, cleared codes and check engine light, and fixed the compass and temp display in the upper center console. Up Next: replacing rust rockers.... Not looking forward...- RHSC

I just did my Overhead console today as well. Pretty easy....if you take your time. As far as the "Brown wire Mod" is considered, what exactly does that do? Do you have a link that you can post? Overhead Compass and Temp Problem

97 XLT 5.4 Starts, revs high, then dies
Hello everyone, I have a 97 XLT with the 5.4L with 183,000 miles. I installed all new coils (Accel) and plugs about 30-35K miles ago. Yesterday I drove the truck all over, about 100 miles, and everything was fine. Today I tried to start it and it started, revved high, some where around 4K RPMs...- RHSC

Tire recomendation.
I am running Cooper Discoverer ATR tires. Stock size (for now) 265 /70/ 17. Great tire. Quiet on road, good off road. Not real aggressive, but enough for light off-roading. Cheap enough, about $150 per tire. I have about 12,000 miles on mine and they still look brand new...- RHSC

What error codes did the computer throw? "PRNDL ERROR" ? Does that stand for Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, Low?- RHSC

Need some exhaust suggestions
If I delete the rear cats, will that case any emissions issues? Are the rear o2 sensors still in use? I think I would like to do true duals for the most power and sound. What did it cost you to get that done?- RHSC

Headers on my 98 5.4L
I bought shorty headers from summit last year and they came with new studs. Your's didn't? Maybe cause you bought them off ebay? Call summit directly, the studs should be pretty cheap. As far as installation, PAIN IN THE ASS! Take the wheel and tire off and the inner fender well, grab yourself...- RHSC

I have a 97 XLT 5.4 with 130k on it. I have finally fixed all of the coil and plug issues that we are all so familliar with. I would now like to tackle the exhaust. Same old problem--hesitation and stumbling
FINALLY!!!!!! So after driving the truck for 3 weeks with the hesitation and stumbling and bad accelleration, the check engine light finally came on and it threw a code for the #6 cylinder misfire. I replaced the coil ----again, and all is fixed..........so far. It's been fine for a couple days...- RHSC
