Cam phaser?

I have a 5.4L 2V with 245,000miles. Recently I noticed a mild ticking sound at hot idle. Seems to run fine. I have seen a lot of interwebz chatter about cam phaser locking pin failure in 3V engines. Did the 2V suffer this also?
10w30 motor oil did not solve the issue.

The 2V don't have cam phasers. VCT was introduced in 2005 with the 3V engine.

hmmm,whats causing a hot idle clicking?
ill check my engine code to be sure this is not a engine swapped vehicle. I got the engine type from the VIN.

Clicking? The injectors are loud on this motor, could just be that.
