2h button light up

Hello-
This is probably stupid question- have a 2018 expedition max and I never noticed the 2H button light up on the drive mode knob. My husband drove it once and somehow he put it into 4a- and ever since getting it out of 4a I’ve noticed the 2h button light up and can’t remember if was always like that! Is it supposed to be light up ?
Usually I use the drive mode knob and select eco for driving. Thanks!

You are just talking the little yellow light on the 2h button? That is lit up if you are in 2h, if in 4A the light on the 4A button is lit up.

Yes that button ! It made sense to be lit up ( cause not in 4a so must be in the other option lol). but I never remember it being light up before so obviously I’m just loosing it lol thank you!

Yep, it should be on if you are in 2H. Might I also suggest a Crevice Brush Set

(all in jest, I have 5 kids...)

On a related note, the drive repeater light in the lower left corner of the instrument pod, will display 4A or 4L steadily when in those modes; however, the 2H light in the same location ONLY illuminates momentarily when shifting into 2H, then it goes out. The first time you glance down at it and watch it go out...it makes you wonder....but, that's how it's supposed to work.

Ha ha !!!! I noticed that after I snapped a picture doesn’t look that bad if it’s just a glance LOL I’ll clean her up for summer ! Lol and thank you for the help on light

Thank you! I think I have noticed that too- the manuel didn’t come with the car but I imagine real life people know more than it anyways
