    Front Rotors

While replacing the control arms on the front of my '06 EB I tried to get the rotors off as part of the disassembly. No matter how much I tried they would not come off so I just left them on and took off the knuckle as a whole. But as I am going to be replacing the rotors soon when I do a...

2003 Ford Expedition 5.4 XLT 4WD Towing Travel Trailer

Would highly recommend a WDH makes all the difference in the world!!! Had a 30' behind my Silverado for a few years and rode like a dream. If you've got the HD Tow Package you'll be set. If you don't you wouldn't have any problems unless you're constantly in the mountains. Also would...

    Seafoam Walkthrough on 2001 Expy

I HIGHLY reccomend SeaFoam! Use it in all my vehicles. '99 Silverado idles just as smooth as a brand new truck. 1 tip I have learned from using it in the vacuum line is the best time to do it when you are about to put new spark plugs in. In rare occasions the release of alot of built up...

    Double DIN and Edge Pod

Very Nice!!!!! Looking to change out my stereo also. Where did you get the stereo headunit from? I take it iPod connector is wired in the back of the unit and then ran down to the center console? Do you know if this unit is capable of bluetooth? With you flip down DVD player, did you...

    Forward Expansion Valve

I thought mine was the expansion valve since mine was also intermittent and that seems to be a common problem. But mine turned out to be a pinhole leak in one of the lines that my mechanic found yesterday. New part was ordered and will be put in tomorrow, but until then we have a full charge...

    #15608 Magnaflow Cat-back

Well it sounds really good at idle and tooling around town. But i've ridden beside the expy in my truck and my motorcycle and it sounds like total crap when taking off. Sounds very "airy", "tinny", and "hollow". Nothing like the deep rumble v8 sound i was hoping for. And you don't even want...

    Battery Done?!?!

Thanks Racenut.....it turned out to be some corrosion on the terminal. I went home at lunch and went to wiggle the connector and it kind of "broke free" and I wiggled it back and forth a few times and she fired right up. Took it to Advance Auto so they could test it just to be sure, and what...

    Battery Done?!?!

Thanks for the reply corvettej, I will look when I get home. Another question to all, is an Optima worth the extra money for a daily driver?

    #15608 Magnaflow Cat-back

I would stay away from Flowmasters, but that because I'm having a bad experience with them now. Mine is very hollow sounding and tinny up in the higher rpm's. Sound like s*** at certain rpm's, but does sound good at idle and low rpm's. If I do it again I'm going with Magnaflow.

    Battery Done?!?!

Well the wife tries to leave for work this morning and the truck is DEAD! Not even a hint of turning over. So I hook up to my truck and let it run for a few minutes and try to start hers. It would barely turn over once and then go to clicking. I let it go for longer and same thing. I...

    A/C Auto Mode Stuck On

Ok.....talked with the shop I took it to earlier today and he said it was a blower motor control switch, I think. Anyways he said with parts, labor, taxes, and everything it would be about $200. Does this sound right? Anybody had one replaced before?

    A/C Auto Mode Stuck On

As the title says that Auto mode for my HVAC controls is stuck on. I can change the temperature and the fan speed will change with temperature. But I can't leave the temp, for example at 60 deg., and then decrease the fan speed like we used to. Even if I hit the button that lets you change...

    Best oil weight?

You would be fine with 5w30 or even 5w20, but I use 10w30 in my 99 5.3 just because it has 125k on it and don't want to take a chance of a lighter wieght oil leaking. Also, I use Mobil1.

    Towing Capacity Question

Check out this site http://www.arbusa.com/Products/Air-Lockers/Features/12.aspx ARB Air Lockers are one of the most well known in the off-road world. Although they are not just for off-roaders as they are for anyone who wants 100% traction from their axle. The reason a selectable locker is so...

    Towing Capacity Question

Well the limited slip will definately be better than an open diff, but the key word is "limited". If you wanted to be sure that the rear was locked then throw a selectable locker in and then you KNOW that you are getting maximum traction to the rear. Unless someone has the exact same setup...

    Towing Capacity Question

Need to know a couple of things......do you have 4WD or atleast a LS Diff? The question may not be whether or not it will pull it out of the water as rather will it have the traction to pull it up the wet ramp. I'm sure in low gear you would probably have enough power to pull it up but if the...

    Flowmaster 50

    Flowmaster 50

Very noticeable by the seat of the pants. When we first bought it I always it was kind of sluggish, but now it gets up goes a lot quicker.

    Flowmaster 50

I will try to get some pics this weekend. They didn't build a y pipe per se, he showed me where the flange connection was and how it is constricted. So he cut the factory pips off in front of the connection and right as the two become one pipe and then started working from.

    Flowmaster 50

Finally! The exhaust is DONE! Very happy with the results now. The Magnaflow 6" round straight through muffler came in yesterday and I got to the shop first thing this morning so they could weld it on. The interior noise is drastically reduced to almost back to stock levels. The outside...

    Brake pad suggestions

Check out www.EBCBrakes.com I have had personal experience with their rotors and pads and can tell you they STOP! I have not put htem on the Expy yet but will when it comes time to. The last vehicle I put them on was the wife's Mazda 6 and TONS of stopping power over stock. You actually had...
