Very possible. The contaminated water can give off an odor once heated. Look under the truck and check to see if you ran over a plastic bag and it is just burning off.
I personally have never had good luck with Harbor Freight Hydraulic Tools. I understand they offer a Warranty. When you have to use it 3 times in 6 months.......It is not good!
Where it is even a bigger issue in my area is that to get a Lic from the county you have to be ASE certified. So technically if you are note certified in Engine Performance you are not allowed to charge for that type of work. Or even do that type of work for that matter. How come Auto Zone is...
Sorry man but I don't understand how you can say they are BS. I have a college education and own a shop. You are saying that I am not entitled to get paid for my time? Just so you know what I do at my shop is charge $65.00 to Diagnose the vehicle professionally. My customers have no issues...

That sucks. That is stuff that bothers me about mobile places.
As for the cable, What is the year of the truck and is it 4X4? I will see what I can possibly do.
Driving without ABS should not cause the pads to wear quicker.
As for the tire....Yes and No. Any time the Alignment is off, it can/will wear tires. How far is it off is the question? There is no way to know specifically until the vehicle is put on the Alignment Machine and the Angles are...
