This is for a txv system with the old style bulb. Principle is the same for an orifice tube system except that the drier is replaced with an accumulator after the evap. The orifice tube will be located after...
Certain codes will pop up regarding timing issues between the two sensors. Here is one method of determining if they are out of time with each other. You don't need a picoscope - any old 2 channel oscilloscope will work.
The following link was provided by "theoldwizaed1" in a thread dealing with a no charge problem. It shows the need for troubleshooting the electronics with the proper tools (scope) that most diy'ers don't have. It also indicates an apparent design flaw with validation of alternator output...
Here is a good video on how to remove stubborn rusted on rotors from the front of a 4x4 Expy. He also has a few other techniques that can be applied to other work on the vehicle.

Thanks go out to Bedrck47 for suggesting this video.
The figures that follow are for lead acid wet cell batteries - pop top and maintenance free and not for AGM batteries.
The typical car battery consists of 6 separate cells
When fully charged each cell will produce 2.1 volts dc.
Six cells at 2.1 volts equals 12.6 volts.
So fully charged battery...

Here is a link on how to perform voltage drop testing on circuits.
You use this method to test the quality of your connections instead of breaking the circuit open and cleaning the connections hoping that will solve the problem.
Here is another one that explains it in basic terms:
Sorry guys, I double posted a reply and chose the wrong option to delete it, blew off the entire thread by mistake.
But where we were at, the factory wiring may already have the connector in the door for the heated mirrors.
The wife has the "I wants" - more luxury in the ride. I'm doing some research on the Navi's before possibly pulling the trigger on a 1st gen.
Popped the hood on one yesterday, read 5.4 - cool - then noticed "32 valve" - damn that is tight in the bay. Heater core hoses disappeared towards the...

Bedrck46 sent me some pics of the GEM pc board of which I was hoping to see a few standard micro-relays. Well that's not the case. It is entirely SMT(surface mount technology) - IC's, caps, resistors etc.
That leaves fixing the windshield leak or disassembling the GEM and applying a moisture...
