    Since my last post I had to replace the tranny. 300k on the original one isn't too shabby. Cleaned throttle body and EGR valve, cleaned & oiled the K&N filter. Reset the CPU, then at about 100 miles it threw P0171 and P0174 codes with the same hesitations! The codes mean low fuel on both...

    Check engine light is back. So is the tach dip when braking. Codes say the mixture is lean on both sides or O2 sensors are bad. Would that cause this??

    Not too difficult, and the old one metered 0 ohms. The Chilton said it should read between 6 to 13. Cashed. Preliminary drives around the neighborhood are steady. We'll see!

    My feeble attempt, and it took maybe 20 minutes! 1. Remove the shroud, unplug the vaccum lines, and loosen the hose clamp at the throttle body. Locate and unplug the temp sensor on the accordion-shaped rubber adapter. Now remove the sensor itself...it's stubborn, but you'll thank...

    The stalls have returned, so I'm replacing the MAF sensor. New in box on eBay was $59.85. Went ahead with a Gotts Mod while I had the air box apart. NOW let's see................
