1999 Expy RWD - replace full arm vs bushings/joints
wait a second. are u speaking of the front or rear? rear, yes, coil spring compressors are a must. i need to replace both arms back there on my own. if its ur FRONT, just do the ball joints unless bushings are bad, but there are NO COIL SPRINGS on the front. IIRC, all 1st gen expys have torsion...- l3l4k0ut

issues due to my own ignorance
n dont feel bad bro..i overfilled my MC's tranny w/wrong fluid yrs ago, AND lost my ring in it (found in pan lol), n it failed me. we've all done dumb stuff lol- l3l4k0ut

issues due to my own ignorance
draining it from the pan and even the TC doesn't get u all fluid out. majority of fluid in a tranny whose engine isnt running (pump not running within tranny) is sitting in the valve body..when u ran the truck, it mixed all fluid up, so it still has a good deal of the wrong fluid in it.- l3l4k0ut

4hi 4lo and A4WD randomly coming on?!?! *pulls hair out*
pulled the fuse block/GEM out. took cover off GEM (which had a clear plastic cover over it made to fit over GEM...previous GEM issues?)...printed board looks fine, no burns, all green,...fuse block seems dry. could it still be this or something else? btw it didnt start this morning either. batt...- l3l4k0ut

thx bedrck46..man i kinda figured it could be i jus dont wanan go thru the hassle of pulling it all out. i DO have a windshield leak...only place with rust is near the driver's side on the roof by windshield. so...yea i kinda figured it was, just telling myself it wasnt. i dont have the funds to...- l3l4k0ut

ok guys..i have a 98 EB expy. 229000 mi. almost cherry! cept this...TODAY it started doing this...EVERY light pertaining to 4wd will illuminate (A4WD, 4HI 4LO, LOW RANGE) while driving, relays click and WHILE DRIVING rpms will bog down because it literally DID just shift into 4LO. concerning...- l3l4k0ut

so wait, is my 98 EB some kind of bastard child? she never had air ride, no evidence of ever having it whatsoever (i kno her inside n out), n seats are not heated, never appear to have had the option. weird?- l3l4k0ut

Who has the most miles on the odometer of their expedition?
228800 about. in really good shape body wise :D interior needs new leather! mechanically it is good, no leaks (seep @ oil hose), and exhaust leak. thats it. 1998 EB- l3l4k0ut

What did you do to your expedition today?
vacuumed out, wiped down every interior surface. cleaned out all my junk in the console (coins, old receipts) needed it bad :) now its clean, no gunk, no crap. oh n i changed the oil too. motorcraft filter.- l3l4k0ut

2003 expy, engine dead...need opinions!
it burned it. n no, its not no compression if i read OP correctly, that it "clicked". if theres no compression, it would still turn over & try to start, and as another said, it will still run w/o compression in one cylinder - just not well. sounds like u either have a bad connection, battery...- l3l4k0ut
