I just checked the connector with my multi meter and I'm getting 10 volts with the truck running, does anyone know if that is the correct voltage?

hey guys,
I've been wrestling with code 1451 for a while now, I just finished changing the solenoid for a brand new one and it's still throwing the code.
I have traced the wires and don't see any damaged wires but I'm going to try taking a very close look again.
I haven't tested the wires...
spray the bolts with sea foam deep creep and let it sit overnight before you do the job, makes it much much easier.
I sprayed all 8 fastening points on the front and rear shocks and they all let go fairly easily.

Hey guys long time since I've been on the forum. To the OP, I was throwing lean codes for both banks after first buying my expedition and I did the plugs coils etc. But changing the intake gaskets is what finally fixed my problem.
Good luck with your expedition and congrats on the new baby...
Now that I think about it more, get oem plugs, if something bad happens I don't want to be the reason it does. Best of luck!

Again, regular plugs work fine. I am speaking from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE not here say.
I've driven more than enough for my truck to "not respond well" to my ngk iridium plugs. 1.5 years, and 30,000 kms of hard driving.
Idk what kind of plugs people are buying to get negative results but I sure...
I honestly feel that spark plugs are a personal preference decision, I personally have never bought plugs for any of my vehicles that didn't t work, generally speaking the pricier plugs usually last longer than the cheaper ones I feel.
I work for a parts store an me their best brand is ngk...
Ahh, I've done it on vehicles in the past where there is a valve that opens when heat is used. I assumed Ford used the same method.
I guess that's why switching between hot and cold is such an easy twist of the dial compared to old cars where you are pushing/pulling a cable when adjusting the...

I assumed the rear heater core didn't get coolant until the temp setting was set to hot. So you're saying when the ac is on the heater cores are getting fed with hot coolant also?

Is your rear climate control set to the hot side? Even if it's off but set to hot the coolant still flows through the rear heater core and could possibly warm up the plastic panel, just a thought.

IMHO if you're already going in to do plugs why not just spend a lil bit more money and do the coil packs at the same time, even if they are still "good."
I went the cheap route also when I first bought my expedition and just did the plugs, and after all my hard work a cpl months down the road...
Wiring the hids directly to each side headlight wire solved my problem, it should hold up until spring when I'll be able to fix things properly.
Thanks for the input guys!

I like that, the police over here don't like lights above the headlights. They have to be covered when driving in the city or you will most likely get a ticket, even if the lights aren't on they don't care they will ticket us.

I don't have time to work on the headlight issue until tomorrow, but I've been going over things in my head and I think there may be an issue with the hid wiring harness.
The hid kit is a hi/lo kit that only uses one side of the headlight wiring, leaving the other side loose. I'm going to wire...
I would have checked with a meter but unfortunately all my tools are in storage at the moment, but thank you for the input I really appreciate it.
I tested out the new ballasts and still no go. It's strange since I'm getting power from the OEM headlight wiring, but when I checked the power...
Sup homies.
While picking up a code reader I also picked up a cheap circuit tester and did some checking, it turns out the factory headlight wires are supplying power, I checked to see if there is power coming from the hid ballast and there is none, leaving me to suspect that my hid ballasts...
OK so my code was p1633 low voltage to the pcm, I still don't know what would have triggered this code but I cleared it and it still hasn't come back on.
Still don't have headlights, I have aftermarket hids with the wiring harness that only uses one side of the headlight wiring, leaving my...
