    just got the expy back from the shop....

    Had the usual spark plug auto-ejection problem. Previous owner had JB welded the plug back in and unplugged the injector.... I plugged the injector back in and warmed it up to pop the plug out.. easiest way I could figure out to do it. Before... https://youtu.be/Znsw7tZbO6w And...

    I love Ford, but.....

    had the same problem on my 98'. what solved it for me was spraying WD-40 into where the doors latch. after that, my lights didn't work at all when i opened doors. It seems that my subwoofer has rattled something back in place, though. because everything is working now. I'd start with spraying...

    Got the rattle fixed. just added weather stripping from home depot on top of the stuff that's already there. works like a charm! :D

    Alpine 143BT head unit, alpine 6x8 door speakers all around, hifonics 2400w amp, and an alpine type r 15". Nothing too serious, and most of it budget friendly, but loud enough for me to be happy.

    nope. and it's usually on the lows that it rattles the worst... guess i went a little overkill with the system... lol.

    Wiper mount is pretty tight, I can stop the rattling by pressing on the glass itself. thanks for the suggestion. :gr_grin:

    Howdy, folks! new guy from TN here.

    It has a few quirks and problems, but what 98' with 214k won't have problems? Things to fix - Heater cores. both started leaking on the previous owner, both have been bypassed. Cylinder head - spark plug popped out on previous owner. Previous owner JB welded plug back in and unhooked injector...

    Howdy, folks! new guy from TN here.

    picked up my 98' expedition a few weeks ago for a decent price that I couldn't pass up. Hoping the forums will help me through the confusing world of working on the massive thing. :P
