trouble getting out of "P"
2005 XLT, 2WD, 174k miles, shift on column... Went to go to work this morning. Started truck, pressed brake pedal, and I couldn't shift out of park. Pressed brake pedal again, still couldn't shift out of "P". Waited another minute or so and it worked properly. Drove to corner (100 yards)...- TonyM

rhythmic noise while driving...
'05 2WD XLT, 173k miles... Truck was/is making a rhythmic noise that was especially noticeable when coasting or accelerating around and through 25mph. Needed new tires anyway - mine were cracking and the tread was poor with uneven wear - so I went and got new tires from Discount Tire. Noise...- TonyM

rear cargo power outlet problems?
2005 Expedition XLT, 2WD. Trying to trouble shoot why the power outlet in the rear cargo area doesn't work. Other outlets work. All power outlet and cigarette lighter fuses are good. It's NOT vital that I get this part up and running, but it would be nice for powering a light or something...- TonyM

the 5.4L 3V fix - how long does it last?
"New to me" 2005 Expedition 2WD XLT with 166k on the clock. I bought it knowing that I'd have to do some work to it, but during my research into the truck I somehow overlooked all the engine issues of this model.
