Ended up being the differential support bracket bolts which connect it to the differential. Re-torqued the bolts and sound is gone at least for now.
Thanks again for the advice
I had seen that video before and I originally thought that it was the issue, but upon watching it was not moving in the same way that the video shows. It is moving more on the backside of that bracket which attaches to the differential.
I did go back and look again and re-torqued the bolts to...
A company out here in Colorado called Colorado Engine did the work, the engine itself is from ATK Performance Engines.

Thought I would flow up, it ended up being a bad lifter on the passenger side . Was a warranty repair on the remanufactured engine.
Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the advice, I did go under and did not see anything apparently wrong with the drive shaft, yokes, or u joints. The transmission mounts also looked to be in good shape.
I also just had the engine replaced with a reman and the guys at the engine shop said they would to a good...
Hey all, looking for any advice on what might be wrong with my Expedition, It makes a clunking sound when accelerating in reverse right after shifting into reverse, the sound does not continue. it generally only makes the sound when hitting the gas, it does not seem to make it upon shifting...
Hey all, could use some advice. I have a 2006 Expedition that has a new reman engine in it due to many issues on the original engine
Right now it is ticking when it is warmed up. There does not seems to be any performance issues, it runs great and has no codes throwing. The engine currently...
Well, I have some news to report. Finished putting the truck back together last night, and it run good but the suggestion to do a compression test was a really good suggestion because it does appear that after all is said and done that there is an issue for sure regarding the piston / rings of...
Thanks all, I appreciate all the comments and suggestions. I need all the info I can get. :)
I am planning on doing a compression test as soon as I get it back together enough to do it. I am not a bit of a hold while I wait for new phasers to come in. I just noticed a small wear issue on the...
I cannot remember but it was not very high overall. The tester i used kept it on the low side to zero out the testing side.

I think I am on the road to mending. We just put the heads back on after having them redone and making sure I could not feel anything at all on any part of either mating surface and then following AllData's torque sequence exactly. After we got the heads on we did a leak down test on all 8...
I did get the news back about the heads. I will be picking them up soon. It looks like they had to be shaved 3/1000 off to make it flat along with dried out valve guide seals, bad lifters and the number 8 cylinder spark plug hole needed to be helicoiled. There was also a ton of carbon buildup...
Thanks for the advice, I am waiting to get the heads back so I can see what was done before I purchase the new head gaskets.
Do you or anyone by chance have an recommendation on which head gaskets to purchase?
No kidding...
I pulled the heads off this past weekend and found a handful of bolts that were not tight, The front cover bolt under the water pump was free spinning. Hard to believe it...
When I pulled the heads it does look like the head gasket on the drivers side did not seal or something...
Hey all, thanks for the posts. I agree that I made a huge mistake with using this mechanic.
I got into it tonight and in the process of pulling the spark plugs so I could do a compression I pulled an oil soaked plug out the 8th cylinder. This is the one that he was working on. I am thinking...
Thanks Moose, I did do the block leakage test and did not find any sign of combustion gases in the coolant. I think I am set to start the tear down tomorrow once I can get it to a heated Garage tomorrow. I am planning on doing a full compression test and leak-down test before I get started to...
Yeah both head gaskets were replaced, sorry to not make that clear. I think I am about to head to auto zone to rent their block tester to see if I can tell if combustion gasses are getting into the coolant system.
Hey all, I am hoping anyone can help me out here. I think I know what is going on but could use confirmation.
About a month ago I had a spark plug issue in cylinder 8. the plug blew out due to some work another mechanic did before. I then had a new mechanic come try and fix the issue, low and...
