ok changed the 2 upstream o2 sensors today
i had to heat up the passenger side with a torch to get it out

after installing i cleared codes and it ran really great
i kept it under 45mph for 2 days
no check engine code came on
also the IM's came up ok really quick on the drive cycle

i even got it inspected in TEXAS and it passed with no codes on

then i got it up to 65 to get on the interstate and it started flashing

it went off
then i revved it to 70 and it flashed again

so i drove it back home and its on all the time with CYL 6 misfire
I have the 2 downstream o2 to put in tomorrow

and the compression cable is not here yet to check cyl 6 compression etc

Ok well if compression is good i think you might have a bad inake manifold gasket or a cracked intake mainifold take a close look at the plastic manifold and check for cracks in it along the side your miss is coming from

IT IS NOW FIXED !!!!!!

ONLY USE SP515 Motorcraft spark plugs in this vehicle

I tested compression to 100 on cyl 6 - this one was the 1 with the issue
tested compression to 102 on cyl 5

so i went to autozone and replaced the new autolite ht1 plug with
the motorcraft sp515 plug and at 65 mph now no check engine light

looks like i worked it out
so

only buy motorcraft sp 515 plugs

HT1 : $12.49

Take out the #6 Coil and blow it out. If you washed the truck recently water gets into that coil 1st for some reason. I just purchased a set of 8 brand new motorcraft coils from ebay for $189 before you go paying $50-75 at your local mechanic Per Coil...

2007 expedition - changed all the plugs with HT1 platinum and also changed the coil on cylinder 6 - i looked up that cyl 6 was the 2nd one from front of engine on driver side

pass driver
firewall
4 8
3 7
2 6 ****
1 5
grille of front

took off the fuel rail on driver side and did a professional cleaning of the injectors
1. with injectors off completely - filled each with seafoam
2 hooked battery charger to + and - nodes of the injector
3 at the same time used compressed air and made it all blow thru

yes you can use this idea as it works to really clean an injector
just bump the + on the battery charger to get it to open close open close

---- With all that said it still throws code that cyl 6 is misfiring
i also took a test light to the plug and it is pulsing a light off of 6

help - i need to get this inspected soon and it wont pass like this.

Spark Plug Number

Curious, you said you finally used the SP515 plug but on Ford's web site for my 2007 Expedition Limited, it's calling for the SP507 plug? I'm pretty sure I'm having the same issues you had with a mis-fire but I don't have all the test equipment to do as extensive and as nice a job as you have been doing. I'm still contemplating on doing the plugs and coils myself. Reading too many horror stories on broken plugs and stripped threads. I'm going to check Ebay for both plugs and coils but the one thing that I've heard the most is to use Motorcraft no matter what anyone else says. Good reading and sounds like superiour troubleshooting on your part. You wouldn't happen to live near Phoenix, AZ would you? Don
