09 LTD MAX - Problem with dual climate control - one side hot, one cold

yep that was same as mine (but in reverse temp wise). The video Manuporshutup posted above explains the process. Its a quick job. I used a dorman brand replacement as thats what my local parts shop carried. Part number 604-252 so far its working great.

Makes no difference. They're all the same process. The one behind the head unit is easy. The one under the dash isn't.

the left side takes all the day - the right is easy.. my only worry is that there is zero replacement available for the controller - and my rear defrost button is faulty - has anybody heard a rumor of a replacement controller that is available?

Have you checked the fuse for the rear defrost? I believe its the 7th black square 20 under the hood.
