Ok Im sure this might have been asked before but here is the Problem..

I left my Drivers window down while at my Grandmothers side while she was Dying..

Long story short..
it rained and water go into my expo.. dash floor, drivers side seats all soaked, about 1 inch of rain on the floor..

I did let it fry out for about 3 weeks but
windows wont go up all way.
dash gauges dont work unless I press and hold the drivers window switch,
and its also not shifting properly now when driving down road..
Other than that she runs great..
I love my expo

I want to get her back on the road.. I miss driving her..

help would be great without taking her to dealer..

Your problem is more than the gem. The entire interior is loaded with condensation and/or pooled water.

Easiest way is to put it in a low humidity environment that is heated while circulating the air & vehicle windows open.

Heated paint booths or garages come to mind.

Whatever you choose be patient.

Its been in a garage since June and still same issue.. no changes.

I hear a clicking under dash by glove box..
windows still dont operate..
Gauges still dont work unless I press the window switch that dont operate

Im thinking of trying the GEM come tax time.. :(

mean time I have a 99 F150 that my Blinkers stopped working on, and already replaced the multi-switch.
It need all front end work come spring. replaced all this on my Expo, before she got wet.. :(

Its Winter in -0+ now and Im so frustrated, and driving this truck trying to figure out which to salvage and use as winter vehicle next year..
both have the 5.4 engine,
Expo has less miles, needs new manifolds nothing else to my knowledge. shes a beast.
The F150 mileage is digital and works when it wants. its got a tick to engine and no balls bulling things.

Cant afford anything new.. single mom trying to make things work :(

any suggestions..

Learn DC electrical if you don't know the basics, invest in a good multimeter and start tracing circuits. Connectors that sit in water waiting for it to evaporate usually end up with corrosion that just added to your problem.

See the electrical section for a sticky on what the gem controls. And it is located on the driver side, the clicking is from something else.

Your gauge problem is due to a bad ground.

Try spraying a little silicone in the window channels with the window lowered.
