I'd def go with 22's because i hear way too often when someone gets 20's about a month later they wish they would have got a set of 22's my ride comfort is almost the same and i run 24's. I switch wheels alot due to work travel if im going more than 1000 miles then i usually run stock 17's. I can tell if there were a huge difference, i do notice the stopping power decrease and the gas mileage decrease but its only about 1 mpg

Exactly! If you do go with 22s I recommend running 285/45/22 not 305/45/22 the 305s are for 10"-12" wide rims, when you put that tire on a 9.5" rim it makes the tire "bubble" like stick out past the rims slightly.

I found two Expys at local dealers. One is an '05 XLT with 20's. The other is an '06 EB with 22's. Figure I go do a little test driving to get a rough idea of which I like better. Also, someone suggested that I rent a set of each for a few weeks to try them out. Snicker if you want, I did at first. Then I looked into it. I can rent for a pittance compared to buying. And this way, I figure I know which I really want before spending $$$$ and then getting "stuck" with something.

if you are still open to opinions i have 22's and although you would feel the bumps in the road much more then stock 17's it's really not that harsh and since i've had mine on it definitely feels like it sticks to the pavement a lot better especially on corners.

the 22's look good. they arent too big and gaudy. and i agree with triton, you are gonna wanna keep your stock for the winter. i grew up in upstate ny and in michigan so i know how the winters can get and you are going to want something for winter driving, especially if you slide into a curb on a snowy street! scratch up the stock rims and not the 22's you just bought. way cheaper and easier to replace the stock size rim.

the 305-45-22 will give you a good ride and they will be heavier, i run 275-55-20 on the oem f150 20's and 305-35-24 on my kmc dimes. i sell wheels and i like the ride and look better on the 22's then the 20's. to me its a no brainer 22's is your best route since you wont gain much from 20's except and empty pocket..LOL
