Hi Im new to this forum and my dad is crazy. He wants to buy a new Expedition because I think his transmission is dying because it makes some weird clunk noise when in reverse. He told me he change it last year..so not sure. Also he's around the 90,000 mile mark and Im not sure what to think.

Or at least get it checked out by a mechanic.....
No need to amputate the whole leg for an ingrown toenail!

ya well he decided it would be better in the long run if he sold it.

I have no clue why which all it needed was a new tranny but now he owns a 2007 Acura MDX. Really wish he kept the Expedition.

i get the same clunk too...its doesnt do it when it goes into reverse its after its already in reverse and i back up about 3 feet then it just goes clunk ...i cant feel it, like there is no jolt from the tranny when i hear it, its just a sound...dont mean to hijack the thread but does any one know what that is?
