Get a NOID light and test for ignition signal at the coil's harness plug. Are these known good coils ?

Swap coils 5 and 6 and see if coil 6 still doesn't work. If you swap those 2, and then coil 5 isn't working but 6 is, then that confirms that it's a bad coil.

I had 3 coils go bad by 90K on my 03 Expedition. Just curious, how do you know it's coils 6, 7, and 8? Did they all stop working at the same time?

Had a similar problem with 3 and 8 turns out release clips for the coils were broken just replaced the connector and all worked great
