Most A/C shops these days have all of the equipment to weld or braze aluminum. Many home A/C manufacturers have gone with aluminum tube and fin, spiny fin, or micro-channel coils. There are still some copper tube aluminum fin coils out there but not as many as in the past.

You can technically braze aluminium with a fairly basic blowtorch.

MAPP / acetylene torches can do it, no oxygen needed.

True story! I typically use acetylene but have used a small mapp torch on smaller coils. The aluminum doesn't take much heat to patch

Just dont point it at shit zinc alloys like small coins...at least without a bunch of protection. has tendency to explode 'em

Thanks for all the replies. Still not finding anything at parts houses. I think this coil could have the corroded tube replaced as a last resort. Right now I'm trying to locate a used one
