I have an '08 EL Limited with rear air. I know the evaporator core under the dash has a hole in it and needs replaced.
Is it possible to get a quality replacement core without having to buy the OEM core with the evaporator case and all? I'd like to use a Ford core without having to spend $400+ for the case and all.
I need to do this as we've put sealer in it a couple of times and it's held for a while but it's gone out again and I think the core needs replaced.
As bad as this will be to do, I don't want to put a sketchy aftermarket core in there and then have to turn around and do it again.
