From the Ford Service Manual for 3rd Gens:
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Recover the refrigerant.
Disconnect the battery cables.
Remove the upper radiator sight shield.
Remove the RH and LH headlamp assemblies.
Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
Remove the 4 junction box bolts and position the junction box aside
Detach the power steering cooler line clip.
Remove the condenser inlet fitting bolt and disconnect the fitting.
Discard the O-ring and gasket seals.
To install, tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).
Remove the condenser outlet fitting nut and disconnect the fitting.
Discard the O-ring and gasket seals.
To install, tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).
Remove the 2 cooling module and 2 cooling fan shroud bolts
Release the clamps and disconnect the 2 power steering cooler lines from the condenser core.
Remove the 9 lower radiator splash shield pin-type retainers and position the shield aside.
Release the clamps and disconnect the 2 transmission cooler lines from the transmission cooler.
Detach the transmission cooler line pin-type retainer from the condenser core bracket.
NOTE: The cooling module must be positioned rearward to raise and detach the 4 condenser mounts from the cooling module.
NOTE: The condenser must be removed from below the vehicle.
Detach and remove the condenser core and transmission cooler as an assembly.
Position the cooling module rearward enough to allow the condenser to be lifted upward.
Depress the retaining tabs on the 2 lower condenser mounting brackets and detach the 4 condenser mounting brackets from the cooling module
Position the top of the condenser forward to detach the top lip of the condenser bracket from the cooling module and remove the condenser core and bracket.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Install new gasket seals and O-ring seals.
Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil.
