Another problem is; unless you are the original owner you usually don't know what was done. I just bought a truck a month+ ago and it was on consignment at a car lot (got super deal) but I never even saw the seller. I don't even know if it has the new style spark plugs in it, or if they replaced the phasers this year, etc.Yes I was trying to relay that. I figured if one control arm went the opposite side is probably close also, so I did both. I have terrible luck, and decided if I just do the control arms a few months later a strut will start leaking. It was easier to talk myself into preventative maintenance or "making the truck better". I found after 10 years and 145K miles the springs and struts seemed fine compared to the new. IMO
