2nd and 3rd Generation Difference

Can someone tell me the major difference in the 2nd and 3rd generation expeditions besides the exterior looks. I have tried the search and google but don't see alot.

I am debating which to get too. Tough choice because there is a large price difference between a 06 and 07.
