'97 and '98 back seat (rear-facing ability)

Heyo! I'm new here and just got a EB '97 expedition a few weeks ago and am happy to be here in the community. one of the main features I found most admirable and influential in my decision to buy the truck was that I had heard that the third row could be taken out and replaced in a rear-facing orientation. I, however, had (stupidly) bought my expy without the third row, but have found a few online that are mainly of the '99-'02 model year. Will those seats still work for placing it backwards with the '97 mounts or did i need both '97/98 seats and '97 mounts?

97 eddie baurer i folded pax seqat for the two dogs to have and turned back seat to the rear so i could load and not worry about stuff falling on dogs will take pic tomorrow
