So I swapped out the rearend in my 98 EB for one from an 01 XLT. Mine had 3.73s so Im swapping the front dif as well. I found out the lugs were different when I went to put the tires on the truck after the rear swap. So now Im thinking Id like to keep everything the same instead of the lugs being different from front to rear. I do need a front bearing anyway, just not sure which one yet as the sound is faint.
So my thought is to just swap the front stuff off the 01 parts truck, to my 98. I was going to just get bearings for an 01, but saw they are just a tad off the specs for a 98. So can I just use the spindle from the 01 on the 98 and use the good bearings it already has? Will everything else match up ok? Halfshafts, brakes etc.
