You will need the front coil overs. The torsion bars on air ride equipped 4x4s are "softer" than normal. Without those coil over shocks your front end will sag.

I am due for my inspection here in NY. The check suspension light is illuminated still... Will I pass or fail you think? Not sure if it will throw a code in the computer and fail me or not.

I did this conversion years ago, but this dang light is still on! Does anyone out there know how to get it shut off?

Pull the bulb is probably the simplest way. I do not know if you can trick the sensors into thinking the air ride is working again.
