I am working on a 2003 EB Expedition of mine that has the 5.4/auto 2wd and it had the battery light come on the message center says check charging system. Two days ago the charging hand on the amp gauge moved a little but I took it in and had the alternator checked with a tester and they said it was good but the 1 year old battery had a bad cell. They warranted the battery and replaced at no cost. I replaced an end on the hot cable that wouldn't tighten up good and made sure the ground cable was clean and tight. The belt looks good and isn't slipping, the amp gauge is holding steady in the middle, it starts good, the headlights burn bright but after holding down the reset on the message center it still displays check charging system and the red battery light never goes out. Any ideas? I out of ideas.....
