Today cleaned the engine bay with some purple power, a brush and a power washer.098da67279a87bcea73c2dc46b2fcb60.jpgf08db33885d75f64229e2bb3faa741bd.jpg7a71b267b2d759f080f4527f24365691.jpgd580c167c9fe97940e4604ea3af47804.jpg

I used a metro air force blaster to dry the engine before I started it. I usually use the dryer for my motorcycles. It's great for blasting all the water out of every little spot. It used filtered warm air. Dried the whole engine bay in less than 5 min.

I did that to mine when I first bought it, cranked it up and that sucker was stumbling like there's no tomorrow. Water got in a spark plug hole. She will remain dirty after all that !

I didn't cover anything. When you use a pressure washer it uses much less water then a garden hose and is much more direct. I used the yellow head attachment and stood on a step ladder to get a downward angle. You shouldn't get water inside your plugs unless they are loose to begin with and blast the water out with air when done. I wouldn't worry too much about getting water inside anything unless something is exposed or damaged for some reason. The air box and intake should be sealed up pretty good already unless it was taken off and not installed correctly. Check all your hoses, air box and intake that they are tight and sealed correctly. Don't over spray sensitive areas with water such as electrical components and keep spray cleaner to a minimum or off of the belt and electrical components.

It looks great. It may be a good idea to get a picture before you clean it in the future. Before and after would be cool.
