Could this be the cause or contributing factor to my misfire?

Glad you took care of your problem. Definitely take care of the leaking Exaust, as it will make your SUV run lean. Running lean is never good for an engine, as the leaner fuel mixture can cause damage to the engine if bad enough, and left unchecked. Just curious did you change the boots from coils to plugs also, or just plugs?

Just changed the plugs. I might do the boots another time, but for now just the plugs. Well, and on cylinder 5, a whole new cop lol

Glad you got it running better. A lot of times a worn spark plug can cause detonation due to not being able to fire off fuel properly in combustion chamber. Fuel that isn't being fired and sent out the Exaust properly, can build up a charge in the cylinder/ piston that acts like a piston with too high of a compression ratio.
