Another bulb burned out in my EATC so this time I went LED. I have the style where the bulbs are soldered to the PC board. Ordered these from Amazon with no idea how they would look against the incandescent bulbs lighting everything else. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
Partsam White 3mm Emitting Diode LED Bi-pin Mini Soldering Lamps Gauge Cluster Instrument Panel Lights 12V (Pack of 20pcs)
I've had the EATC apart a few times and I really hope this is the last.
The LED's are directional so using my multimeter I figured out which side was negative and started soldering.
The leads on the LED's are a bigger diameter than the wires from the old incandescent bulbs so I heated a needle with the torch and enlarged the holes in the bulb sockets. I could have soldered the LED's without the sockets but I think the sockets help direct the light.
Anyway, quite pleased with the final results.
