OK, fair enough. I was just curious why you decided to sink your own money into it....but I do understand your worries about the "parts changers" being unable to narrow it down for you.
Thanks for posting the pic of the plug but when we engine tuners read a plug, we are looking at just above the base of the porcelain...that's where the real "tracks" of what's going on in the engine are. While seemingly a bit rich, I caution you to take into consideration of the DFI which typically will result in "blacker" plugs.
The valve coking you refer to has not been shown to be an issue on the newer engines. I personally would be more concerned with buildup on the turbo's vanes but allowing them to cool prior to shutdown seem prudent.

I agree that while the plugs don’t look awful, I did not find changing them to be cost prohibitive in the least, and I will admit that I over maintenance my vehicles because I just plain enjoy working on them.
I also buy into the amsoil cult (old man has been dealer since the 70’s) so I do like there oil being in the turbos, old lady get around 20mpg, so I’m not really sure any boost goes through them until I hook up the camper

These turbines are exhaust driven, so if the engine is running, the turbines are spinning. All the engine controls is how much of forced air gets inside the engine or out the waste gate.
they have never done a head on a eco boost, so who knows, if the catch can prevents the map sensor from getting dirty, then that might be worth it

You could quite easily make your own!I can tell you from experience with my 2005 Excursion with 6.0 turbo diesel, that the oil vapors coat everything inside the intake tract. It also coats the inside of the intercooler which I would guess reduces the ability of the intercooler to dissipate heat. I wish I had a oil catch can for that engine.
